At Oakfield, we're always looking for ways to elevate the playing experience while protecting the quality of our course. This season, we’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our fleet: E-Z-GO golf carts equipped with PACE Technology — a game-changer for both golfers and turf maintenance alike.
Smarter Play with Geo-Fencing
One of the most impressive features of PACE is geo-fencing, a GPS-based system that automatically guides carts away from sensitive areas of the course. Whether it’s a freshly aerated area, a soggy fairway, or a high-traffic green surround, the carts will slow down or stop as they approach restricted zones — no staff intervention required. This protects vulnerable turf, reduces wear patterns, and ensures long-term playability for all.
Pinpoint Precision with True Pin Technology
Gone are the days of guessing pin placements. The PACE system includes True Pin functionality, which allows our staff to update exact pin locations each morning. These are instantly reflected on every cart’s screen, giving players real-time access to precise distances — not just to the center of the green, but to the actual pin itself. This means smarter club selection, better strategy, and more confident swings.
Yardages That Matter
PACE offers premium GPS yardages that go far beyond basic front-middle-back readings. Players can view distances to hazards, doglegs, and layup zones right from their cart’s dashboard. This leads to faster rounds, fewer surprises, and a more professional-caliber round of golf — all while enjoying the comfort of our upgraded carts.
Keeping the Course Better, Longer
Our investment in this technology is about more than convenience — it’s about stewardship. By guiding traffic flow, reducing unnecessary turf stress, and giving players the tools to make better decisions, PACE helps us deliver pristine conditions day after day.
A Small Learning Curve, A Big Payoff
We know that with any new technology, there’s a short adjustment period — and we appreciate your patience. If your cart slows down or stops, it’s likely entered a restricted area. Simply back straight out the way you came, and you’ll be on your way again. These brief moments are small trade-offs for the long-term benefits to our course conditions. The old enter, and exit posts remain on the course, and our geo fences are acting in the same manor as these posts. All we ask is that you continue to follow this guidlines, and the geo fences are there to assist with this.
As always, our team is here to help if you have any questions about the new system.
